Life Skills 1 and 2
Life Skills 1
The Life Skills 1 program is designed for teens and adults with disabilities, and it features assessments and individualized life planning. This multifaceted program focuses on functional living skills such as money and time management, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, relationship skills, and other skills necessary for independence. This program also has an emphasis on secondary education, employment, and volunteerism. In addition, the Life Skills Program focuses on accessing community resources such as fitness, theater, and recreation.
Life Skills 2
Life Skills 2 is a higher level of training for independent living. This intensive workshop focuses on developing relationships amongst participants to learn how to solve problems together. Lessons include fire safety, cooking, managing one's healthcare, household maintenance, relationships, property management issues, and more.
