ACE – Autism Community Education

The Autism Community Education program aims to do just that—educate the community about Autism.

Autism Awareness Day

Autism Awareness Day Baseball Game at CCU

Come on out to the Autism Awareness Day Baseball Game at CCU! This ACE (Autism Community Education) event will be sensory friendly for individuals with Autism and related disabilities. The speakers will be turned down low, and left field will be blocked off for the kids to roam around and play games. Arrive early to play catch with the players or get an autographed ball!

Program goals are to:

  • Train area businesses in the special and sensory needs of families with children on the Autism Spectrum in an effort to better serve them.

  • Plan events at participating businesses and venues designed specifically to meet the sensory needs of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.

  • By so doing, create a supportive community of, and for, the families with children on the Autism Spectrum.

Contact the Program Coordinator at [email protected] to become part of our community.
